About Indus

The short version

Indus is a bakery and café in Ranchi, Jharkhand — a unit of Prajna by Parth. We bake in small batches, from scratch, with real butter, good chocolate and no shortcuts. Everything we make is 100% pure vegetarian, and much of it is available eggless.

How we got here

We started with a simple idea: Ranchi deserved a bakery that treated a Tuesday afternoon slice with the same care as a wedding cake. So we built one — part patisserie, part corner café — where the ganache is glossy, the sourdough is properly sour, and the coffee is worth sitting down for.

As part of the Prajna Group, we get to be patient about the things that matter: a 24-hour sourdough ferment, laminated croissants that actually shatter, and celebration cakes finished by hand.

What we bake

Our counter runs from signature celebration cakes and everyday pastries to flaky pies and tarts, a serious artisan bread programme, spooned desserts and cookies, café snacks, and hot and cold coffee. When you need to send something, our gift boxes and hampers do the talking.

Every single thing we make is pure vegetarian — no exceptions. Eggless versions are available across much of the range, and we clearly flag dietary options like eggless and millet-forward bakes so you can order with confidence.
